Your body has a story. Physiotherapy reads it.

Not just where it hurts — why it hurts, how long it's been building, and what it takes to change the pattern.

The practice of understanding.

Most people arrive at physiotherapy after something goes wrong. A back that finally gave out. A knee that never quite recovered. A shoulder that's been limiting more than movement.

LYV physiotherapy starts before the complaint. It starts with how you move — the compensations you've built, the patterns you've normalized, the places your body has been quietly working around something for longer than you realize.

The assessment comes first. Treatment follows it. Not the other way around.

Your First Visit

The Initial Assessment

Your first session is a conversation as much as an examination. We will take the time to understand your history, your movement patterns, and what you're trying to get back to — or get to for the first time.

Movement Analysis

Before any treatment begins, we look at how your body moves as a whole. Not just the site of pain — the system around it. Where compensation has been built in. Where mobility has quietly reduced.

Your Care Plan

Treatment at LYV is never one-size. Your physiotherapist designs a plan around your specific pattern — and shares it with you, clearly, so you understand the logic behind every session.

Ongoing Collaboration

If another LYV modality can support your recovery — kinesiology for movement rebuilding, massage for tissue preparation, naturopathic care for inflammation — your physiotherapist will coordinate it. You don't have to manage the connections yourself.

Sofia Marchetti, physiotherapist at LYV Health

Sofia Marchetti, PT, MSc

Physiotherapist

Sofia came to physiotherapy through sport — a knee injury at nineteen that gave her more time on treatment tables than she'd planned for, and a physiotherapist who changed how she understood her own body. That experience is the reason she works the way she does.

Her practice is built around the belief that the most important thing she can do in a first session is listen — not just to the complaint, but to the whole picture of how someone moves, compensates, and has learned to work around what hurts. Treatment follows understanding. Not the other way around.

Sofia has a particular focus on complex movement dysfunction, post-surgical rehabilitation, and working with people who've been through the system without finding a clear answer. If that's you, she'd like to hear about it.
